What is Tarot poetry?
Tarot poetics, the art of writing poems using the Tarot, began in Renaissance Italy with Teofilo Folengo and his contemporaries. Many famous poets–including T.S. Eliot, W.B. Yeats, and Marge Piercy–have used the Tarot in their work. The practice continues with more recent publications such as Rachel Pollack’s book of Tarot poetry.
